According to Sport Bild’s Christian Falk, the South Korean international is on United’s list of targets, but he is clear in his desire to stay in Bavaria and compete for a starting role under manager Vincent Kompany.
Kim currently occupies the No. 3 role in the squad but believes he can push back into the starting XI through strong performances or in the event of injuries. His decision to stay aligns with Bayern Munich’s strategic objectives, as Kompany has formally stated that winning the Champions League is the club’s primary target. To achieve this, the club requires a high-quality squad capable of sustaining success across all competitions, making Kim’s availability critical.
In England, Manchester United are preparing for their Premier League opener against Hull City following a 4-2 defeat to AC Milan in a pre-season friendly in Wroclaw.
