Dean Huijsen’s second-half dismissal helped Atletico secure victory, moving them into second place according to Al Jazeera.

Atletico Madrid defeated Real Madrid 2-1 in a La Liga derby on Sunday after Real defender Dean Huijsen was sent off early in the second half following a VAR review.

Real Madrid reduced the deficit late when Antonio Rudiger headed Bernardo Silva’s cross past Atletico goalkeeper Jan Oblak, but Atletico held on for the win.
Al Jazeera reported that Atletico moved into second place, five points behind leaders Barcelona and one point ahead of Real Madrid, who suffered their second defeat of the campaign.
