Atlanta Dream secure victory over Dallas Wings in Arlington

The Atlanta Dream defeated the Dallas Wings 77-72 on Tuesday night in Arlington, Texas, maintaining their perfect start to the season. Allisha Gray led the offensive effort for Atlanta with 26 points, while Jordin Canada added 19 points, seven rebounds, and five assists. Rhyne Howard contributed 14 points to the victory, which saw Atlanta improve to a 2-0 record.

Angel Reese recorded 12 points and 16 rebounds, securing her 51st career double-double. The 24-year-old player grabbed eight offensive rebounds, a total that exceeded the entire Dallas Wings team's output. This performance follows her 14-rebound showing in the season opener on Saturday, establishing her as the second youngest WNBA player to reach 50 career double-doubles, trailing only Tina Charles.

The game’s decisive momentum shifted in the fourth quarter when Canada sank a contested three-pointer with 3:34 remaining. This shot capped a 15-6 run that gave Atlanta a 73-65 lead. Despite the victory, the Dream’s bench players contributed only five points to the final score. Brionna Jones did not participate in the match due to a right knee injury.

For Dallas, who fell to a 1-1 record, Arike Ogunbowale led the scoring with 20 points. Paige Bueckers added 15 points, and Jessica Shepard recorded 12 points and eight rebounds.
