Arsenal recover to defeat Chelsea 2-1 at home
Morgan Rogers gave Chelsea an early lead before Kai Havertz and Martin Odegaard turned the match for Arsenal.
Arsenal came from behind to beat Chelsea 2-1 at home in the Premier League, with Martin Odegaard scoring the second-half winner after Kai Havertz had equalised.
Chelsea took the lead in the second minute through Morgan Rogers, whose first-time volley gave the visitors an early advantage. Arsenal responded when Havertz scored against his former club.
Odegaard then put Arsenal ahead early in the second half with a composed finish. The Arsenal captain also influenced the match through his delivery in open play and from set-pieces.
BBC Sport rated Odegaard and Bukayo Saka Arsenal’s joint-best performers, giving both players a rating of 8. Ezri Konsa received a rating of 7 on his first Arsenal start.
Rogers was Chelsea’s highest-rated player on 7 after scoring the opener and providing the visitors’ main attacking threat. His goal came after his reported £117m move to Chelsea.
