American boxer Amelia Moore is set to challenge Caroline Dubois for the WBC and WBO lightweight world titles on Saturday night in Birmingham. The fight forms part of the MVPW-06 card, which is headlined by Mikaela Mayer against Chantelle Cameron and will be broadcast live on Sky Sports.

Moore, 36, carries a professional record of 4-0 as she seeks to dethrone the London-based champion. Despite her limited professional experience, the American points to her extensive amateur pedigree and resilience as key assets in the upcoming contest.

The challenger has issued a direct warning to Dubois, urging her not to look beyond their immediate bout. This comes amid growing speculation linking the champion to a future mega-fight against Alycia Baumgardner, who holds the WBA, IBF, WBO, and The Ring super featherweight titles.

Moore acknowledges the media attention surrounding Dubois’ potential next opponent but maintains her focus remains on the present. She noted that while news articles have discussed the champion’s future, Saturday night will be defined solely by the two fighters in the ring.

The American’s path to this title fight has been marked by personal and professional hurdles. Moore was previously part of Team USA for three Olympic cycles but missed the 2016 and 2020 Games due to illness and restrictions. She was also medically discharged from the U.S. Naval Academy following a diagnosis of Crohn’s disease.

In preparation for the fight, Moore has trained with undefeated boxer Terence Crawford in Colorado Springs. The collaboration has been a significant part of her development, with Moore citing the discipline and intensity of Crawford’s team as influential in her own training regimen.
