The first round tee times and pairings for the 2026 PGA Championship have been officially released, setting the stage for the second major championship of the season at Aronimink Golf Club in Philadelphia. The Wanamaker Trophy will be contested by the world’s leading golfers, with the initial groupings revealing significant collaborations among top contenders for the opening two rounds.
Rory McIlroy leads the morning wave, teeing off at 8:40 a.m. ET from the 10th hole alongside Jon Rahm and Jordan Spieth. McIlroy is aiming to open the 2026 season with consecutive major victories and secure his third Wanamaker Trophy. Spieth, meanwhile, is pursuing a career grand slam, adding narrative weight to the group’s performance.
Preceding the headline group are two notable pairings. Xander Schauffele and Brooks Koepka, both former PGA Championship winners, will play with Tyrrell Hatton at 8:29 a.m. Earlier in the morning wave, Bryson DeChambeau, Ludvig Åberg, and Rickie Fowler are scheduled to tee off at 8:18 a.m.
On the afternoon side of the schedule, reigning champion Scottie Scheffler will play in the 2:05 p.m. wave alongside Matt Fitzpatrick and Justin Rose. Cameron Young, currently recognised as one of the hottest players on the tour, will tee off just ahead of the defending champion at 1:54 p.m., partnered with Keegan Bradley and Justin Thomas.
