Subscription service expands library with JRPG and three new indie releases

Xbox has announced the next wave of titles joining its Game Pass subscription service in early June. The update includes the addition of Persona 5 Royal, alongside three indie projects: Herdling, Solarpunk, and Beastro. The Japanese role-playing game is scheduled to join the service on June 9.

Persona 5 Royal is the 2020 enhanced version of the original 2016 game. This edition features a third chapter and additional content compared to the initial release. Xbox describes the title as a stylish story within the genre.

On the indie front, Herdling will expand its availability on June 4. The game, which involves guiding a pack of critters up a mountain, was previously exclusive to the Game Pass Premium tier. From June 4, it will also be available on Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass.

Solarpunk arrives on June 8 as a new addition to the service. The game is described as a futuristic survival crafting title where players construct buildings and an energy grid based on solar and wind power on floating islands.

Beastro launches on June 11 as a day-one Game Pass title. The game combines deckbuilder mechanics with cooking elements. Xbox has listed it among the new upcoming additions to the subscription library.
