The WNBA postseason begins Sunday with four first-round matchups. Angel Reese and Paige Bueckers are set to make their playoff debuts, while Caitlin Clark returns after missing last season through injury, according to an Associated Press report carried by Yahoo Sports.
Reese’s Atlanta Dream will meet the Washington Mystics. Bueckers’ Dallas Wings face the Golden State Valkyries, with Dallas back in the playoffs for the first time since 2023.
Clark’s Indiana Fever take on the Las Vegas Aces in a rematch of last season’s semifinals. New York will play Minnesota in a rematch of the 2024 WNBA Finals.
The first round is a best-of-three series, with home games arranged in a 1-1-1 format so each team is guaranteed a home game.
The report says Reese joined Atlanta in an offseason trade after two seasons with Chicago and again led the league in rebounding. Bueckers ranked fifth in scoring and eighth in assists during the regular season.
