The review, updated in July 2025, identifies specific units as top picks for distinct cleaning needs, highlighting the Dyson Gen5 Detect for cordless performance and the Bissell Pet Hair Eraser for deep cleaning high-pile carpets. New additions to the recommended list include the Eufy Omni C28, 3i P10 Ultra, Riccar R65, and Smoture VAC01.
The Dyson Gen5 Detect, priced at $800, was highlighted as a leading cordless option due to its suction power and HEPA filtration capabilities. The unit features a digital screen that tracks particle size, distinguishing between microscopic allergens and coarser debris. It includes a Digital Motorbar cleaner head with 56 detangling vanes designed to prevent hair from wrapping around the brush, alongside a Fluffy Optic head for hard floors that utilises an angled green light to illuminate invisible dust.
