The review evaluated five key models, ranking the OnePlus device ahead of flagship offerings from Samsung and budget choices from Lenovo and Amazon. The guide notes that while the market remains fragmented, the Pad 3’s hardware specifications and software efficiency make it the standout choice for most users.
The OnePlus Pad 3 earned the top spot due to its Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite processor and a 13.2-inch LCD screen with 3.4K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. WIRED’s testing found the display superior to OLED alternatives in terms of battery efficiency and sunlight readability. The device demonstrated strong endurance, retaining 70 percent charge after a week of standby use, and supported 80-watt fast charging that reached 50 percent capacity in under 30 minutes. The review also praised OxygenOS for its multi-tasking capabilities, specifically the Open Canvas system that allows for flexible app arrangement.
Samsung’s Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra was recommended for users requiring flagship specifications and productivity features. Running Android 16 out of the box with a MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ processor, the device features a 14.6-inch AMOLED display and Samsung’s DeX interface, which mimics a desktop environment.
