Retailers are offering reduced prices on smart home devices, camera gear, and kitchen appliances ahead of the May 26 holiday

WIRED has published an updated guide detailing early Memorial Day sales on a range of tested consumer electronics and household goods. The discounts are available ahead of the official Memorial Day holiday on May 26, 2026, with the publication noting that the list will be updated multiple times between now and the holiday. The retailer, which has covered such deals since 2013, advises consumers to check the list regularly as prices may fluctuate.

Specific products identified as discounted include smart bird feeders, robot mowers, semiautomatic espresso machines, fitness trackers, 3-in-1 chargers, camera bags, printers, robot vacuums, posture correctors, and dietary supplements. The smart bird feeders feature 1080p cameras and optional lifetime AI bird identification, which costs $5 per month if not purchased with the model. Senior writer Simon Hill has previously reviewed the feeder, noting its wide field of vision and ease of cleaning.

The robot mower recommendation includes GPS, lidar, and AI for obstacle avoidance. WIRED senior writer Simon Hill plans to include this model in an upcoming buying guide. Other tech items on the list include a robot vacuum with built-in AI, a mop, and an extendable arm, as well as a fitness tracker compatible with both iOS and Android. The tracker’s price typically bounces between $250 and $300.

In the camera gear category, editor Julian Chokkattu recommends a camera bag made from P900-denier tarpaulin and ballistic nylon. The bag features a side-access pocket and luggage pass-through strap, and was updated slightly in 2025. The publication also highlights a printer that usually sells for $100 more than the current deal price, noting its high print quality and included ink.

Household and personal items include a semiautomatic espresso machine that has been tested by a WIRED tester for over seven years, and a posture corrector that is adjustable and comfortable. Dietary supplements, specifically Bloom greens powder, are also listed as being on sale. WIRED states that these deals are worth checking out as a counter to the numerous made-up shopping holidays that have made it difficult to ascertain when items are actually cheaper than usual.
