Valkyries rally from 16 down to claim first playoff series win

Golden State beat Dallas 77–73 in Game 3 and will face the Las Vegas Aces in the semifinals.

The Golden State Valkyries overturned a 16-point deficit to beat the Dallas Wings 77–73 in a winner-take-all Game 3, securing the first playoff series victory in franchise history. The 2025 expansion team advances to the 2026 WNBA semifinals against the Las Vegas Aces.

Golden State trailed by 16 in the third quarter after Dallas built on its lead from an 11–0 run to close the first half. The Valkyries cut the gap with a 14–4 run late in the third, then held Dallas to 20 points over the final 18 minutes and two seconds.

Gabby Williams led Golden State with 19 points, scoring 17 after half-time. Her mid-range jumper with 1:17 remaining put the Valkyries ahead for good; she later secured the win at the free-throw line. Veronica Burton had 16 points, 10 rebounds and six assists, while Tiffany Hayes added 18 points.

Arike Ogunbowale scored 30 for Dallas, following her 45-point playoff record in Game 2. Paige Bueckers finished with 17 points on three-of-14 shooting.

Golden State is scheduled to open its semifinal series against the Aces on Sunday in San Francisco.
