The defending champion secured the title via unanimous decision against Jack Della Maddalena at UFC 322 in November. Machado Garry, 28, arrives with a 17-1 record. The Irish fighter previously held the Cage Warriors welterweight title before joining the UFC in July 2021. His most recent outing was a unanimous decision loss to Shavkat Rakhmonov at UFC 310 on 7 December 2024. Prior to that defeat, Garry had compiled a 15-0 record within the UFC.
