Trump Mobile admits to data breach exposing customer details amid sales scrutiny
The company has not notified customers directly, while reports suggest actual sales are a fraction of initial preorder claims.

Trump Mobile has confirmed that customer personal information, including home addresses, phone numbers, and email addresses, was exposed to the open internet. The admission came only after customers identified their data was publicly accessible online, according to a report by TechCrunch. A spokesperson for the company, Chris Walker, attributed the breach to a third-party platform provider supporting certain operations, though the provider was not named.
The company stated that financial data was not compromised in the incident. However, Trump Mobile has not directly notified affected customers, despite each device costing at least $500. The spokesperson indicated the company was still considering whether to send notification emails to those who purchased the hardware.
The disclosure coincides with growing scrutiny regarding the Trump T1 smartphone. Marketing materials for the device feature an American flag with 11 stripes, whereas the official US flag has 13 stripes. Critics have also highlighted that the phone appears to be a reskinned mid-range Android device, potentially the HTC U-24 Pro or the Revvl 7 Pro 5G, rather than a newly manufactured product.
The Revvl 7 Pro 5G is manufactured by Wingtech in China and retails for approximately $125. Previous marketing claims that the Trump T1 was designed and manufactured from the ground up in the USA have been contradicted by current copy, which now states the handsets were "designed with American values in mind." The device comes pre-loaded with Truth Social.
Sales figures for the Trump T1 also appear to be significantly lower than initial claims. While Truth Social previously reported nearly 600,000 preorders, the leak suggests only approximately 30,000 preorders converted to actual orders. The phone was originally scheduled for release in August 2025, delayed to October, and its current release status remains uncertain.
