Trump Media launches paid data feed for Wall Street access to Truth Social posts
The launch of Truth API on 1 August offers businesses rapid access to market-moving content, with interim CEO Kevin McGurn citing potential for significant ongoing revenue for the company’s largest shareholders.

Trump Media, the publicly traded firm behind the Truth Social platform, has announced the launch of a new licensed real-time data feed known as "Truth API." Scheduled to go live on 1 August, the service is designed to provide businesses with millisecond-level access to posts from the platform’s most influential accounts, specifically targeting Wall Street traders seeking immediate access to market-moving content.
Interim CEO Kevin McGurn stated that the company expects the API to become a "meaningful, ongoing source of revenue," noting that "markets already move on Truth Social posts." While specific pricing for the service has not been disclosed, the financial benefits are expected to accrue directly to the Trump family, who hold the largest shareholding in the publicly traded company.
The API utilises familiar, industry-standard delivery methods to provide continuous 24/7 coverage. According to the announcement, the service includes a historical archive of posts dating back to 2022, allowing institutional clients to analyse past data alongside real-time updates.
President Donald Trump is the most followed user on the platform, with 12.9 million followers. He frequently uses Truth Social to announce official communications before they are posted on other platforms. Other high-profile accounts with millions of followers, including those for his sons, FBI Director Kash Patel, and the White House, are also included in the data feed.
While similar APIs are common across other social media networks, Truth Social presents distinct potential conflicts of interest due to the political status of its primary user. The service aims to capitalise on the established market volatility generated by political communications from the US President and his associates.
