Trucordia takes over assets of Illinois-based Hecht-Stout Insurance
Deal follows purchase of Connecticut’s Paradiso Financial, expanding Trucordia’s regional footprint

Trucordia has acquired the assets of Hecht-Stout Insurance Agency, an insurer based in Dunlap, Illinois, with a significant presence in the Peoria area. The transaction marks the second major acquisition for the firm in recent weeks, following its purchase of Paradiso Financial and Insurance Services in Connecticut last month.

Gregory Gerontes, who has owned Hecht-Stout since 2008, will lead the agency into the new structure. Gerontes brings over three decades of experience in the insurance industry, having worked with former owner Hiles Stout for more than 15 years before taking ownership of the business. Hecht-Stout provides personal insurance, business insurance, and employee benefits to its client base.

Gerontes described the acquisition as an opportunity to access greater scale and administrative support. He stated that the move would provide the market access necessary to continue serving clients effectively, allowing the agency to maintain its operational standards while benefiting from Trucordia’s broader infrastructure.

Trucordia chief executive Felix Morgan welcomed the Hecht-Stout team, citing their deep industry knowledge and practical approach to client service. Morgan noted that the agency’s ability to simplify complicated coverage questions and maintain a personal focus on clients aligns with the values of the acquiring firm.

The acquisition of Hecht-Stout follows Trucordia’s recent entry into the New England market through the Paradiso Financial deal. Paradiso, based in Connecticut, offers personal and commercial insurance products, including auto, home, life, business, and specialty lines. The specific financial terms of the Hecht-Stout transaction were not disclosed.
