Town to City exits Steam Early Access with full 1.0 launch on May 26
The meditative title, published by Kwalee, has garnered nearly 4,000 positive reviews since entering Early Access in September 2025.

Town to City, the voxelated city-building title developed by Galaxy Grove and published by Kwalee, will conclude its Steam Early Access period and launch as version 1.0 on 26 May. The full release marks a significant milestone for the game, which has been available to players since September 2025.
Accompanying the official exit from Early Access, the game introduces the new Rocemarée map alongside a suite of fresh content. This update includes a tourist route ability, new buildings, quests, and jobs, expanding the scope of the 19th-century Mediterranean setting that defines the experience.
Since its debut, the title has accumulated nearly 4,000 reviews on Steam, with 98 per cent of them rated positive. The strong reception highlights the appeal of the game's meditative, low-risk approach to town management, where players can carve streets and place structures freely within a gridless environment.
The full launch also brings enhanced depth to the gameplay loop, featuring a secondary farming village, research trees, and rich town management mechanics. Sandbox mode remains an unrestricted space for creative village design, while the campaign offers a forgiving progression system with no fail state.
Galaxy Grove and publisher Kwalee have noted that controller support is planned for the back half of 2026. Concurrently, a second team at Galaxy Grove is developing a separate voxel-art rail tycoon titled Steam to Electric.
