Tottenham Hotspur are intensifying their efforts to secure Manchester City winger Savinho, with the 22-year-old Brazilian international reportedly seeking regular first-team football. The pursuit has gained momentum following comments from Manchester City manager Enzo Maresca, who confirmed the player missed training due to illness, though a final decision on his availability remains pending.

Maresca addressed the situation ahead of the Community Shield meeting with Arsenal, stating that Savinho was not part of the previous session due to illness. The City boss indicated that a final determination on the player’s status would be made after the afternoon training session, highlighting the ongoing uncertainty surrounding the winger’s immediate future.

The transfer is valued at approximately £65 million, a significant sum for a player Tottenham signed from Troyes for £30 million in 2024. Savinho has reportedly reiterated his desire to leave the Etihad Stadium, citing a need for more consistent playing time after starting only seven Premier League matches last season and scoring once.
