The Vergecast shifts to daily broadcast, recruiting Casey Neistat for production advice
The Verge’s flagship audio programme moves to a weekday schedule, aiming to integrate same-day news while leveraging insights from veteran creator Casey Neistat on sustaining high-volume content output.

The Vergecast has officially transitioned to a daily podcast schedule, releasing new episodes every weekday in the afternoon. The move marks a significant increase in production volume for the technology and culture programme, which will now target a publication time before 4PM ET. This timing adjustment is designed to facilitate the inclusion of same-day news within the "90 Seconds on The Verge" segment, allowing the show to react to breaking developments in real time.
To support this intensified output, the launch episode features an interview with YouTuber and filmmaker Casey Neistat. Neistat, who posted a video on his YouTube channel for more than 800 consecutive days starting in 2015, shared insights on maintaining a daily content creation routine without burnout. The discussion covers platform dynamics, the current state of social media, and strategies for sustaining high-volume posting without losing creative momentum.
The shift to a daily format also introduces structural changes to the show’s content. The Vergecast will experiment with new technologies and formats, including the introduction of "podcasts-within-podcasts." The production team noted that the increased frequency allows for more gadgets, rankings, and conversations, aiming to involve listeners more deeply in the show’s narrative and experimental approach.
Concurrent with the schedule change, The Verge is launching new merchandise for its portfolio of shows. The collection includes shirts and mugs for The Vergecast, Decoder, and Version History. The release also features items referencing specific personalities within the network, such as Brendan Carr, as the organisation seeks to expand its commercial footprint alongside its editorial expansion.
Listeners are invited to provide feedback on the new daily iteration through The Vergecast Hotline at 866-VERGE11 or via email at [email protected]. The production team emphasised that the daily schedule is a permanent shift, with plans to continue the weekday releases indefinitely as they refine the new format and content strategy.
