TechCrunch extends Startup Battlefield 2026 deadline to June 8
The application window for the 2026 cohort has been extended, offering founders access to a network of alumni that includes Dropbox and Cloudflare.

TechCrunch has extended the application deadline for the 2026 Startup Battlefield competition to June 8, responding to high demand from founders seeking exposure on the Disrupt Main Stage. The competition culminates at the TechCrunch Disrupt conference in San Francisco from October 13 to 15, where selected companies will pitch to top-tier investors and press.
The event offers a $100,000 equity-free prize and the Disrupt Cup to the top 20 finalists. Selection is based on which companies present the most compelling, differentiated, and globally ready propositions. Founders are advised that product and founder videos serve as the primary impression, with emphasis placed on demonstrating the product in action and articulating clear differentiation.
All 200 companies selected for the cohort receive significant benefits regardless of their final standing. These include a fully funded demo booth at Disrupt, complimentary event passes, access to a pre-event virtual program with venture capitalists and operators, and dedicated pitch preparation support from the TechCrunch team.
The alumni network associated with the competition comprises over 1,700 companies, including major technology firms such as Dropbox, Discord, and Cloudflare. Collectively, these alumni have raised $32 billion in funding and facilitated more than 250 exits. Members of this network receive ongoing opportunities to pitch at TechCrunch events and access exclusive perks from partner networks.
Unsuccessful applicants are not left without options, receiving exclusive discounts on Disrupt tickets and exhibit opportunities. The final list of the Top 20 remains confidential until the event begins, with a shortlist maintained to accommodate potential changes in founder availability or scheduling.
