Summer Games Done Quick 2026 schedule released for July charity marathon
The 2026 lineup includes a hybrid Half-Life and Jak and Daxter run, alongside titles such as Kirby Air Riders and Drywall Eating Simulator, continuing a tradition that raised over $2.4 million last year.

The Summer Games Done Quick (SGDQ) 2026 schedule has been released, confirming the charity speedrunning marathon will take place in Minneapolis from July 5 to 11. The event, which combines technical gaming prowess with fundraising for medical humanitarian aid, will be livestreamed on Twitch and YouTube. Proceeds from the marathon will benefit Doctors Without Borders, an organisation that received more than $2.4 million from last year’s event.
This year’s programme features a mix of rigorous technical speedruns and novelty categories. Highlights include Gordon and Daxter, a one-of-a-kind hybrid run that imports movement mechanics from Half-Life 1 into Jak and Daxter. Other featured titles include Kirby Air Riders, Don't Stop Girlypop, Mouse: P.I. for Hire, and Drywall Eating Simulator.
Classic games remain a staple of the schedule, with Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest, and the 1996 Sega Saturn title Mr. Bones confirmed for play. The event continues its tradition of unusual challenges, including a run where automated tools are used to collect all 120 stars in Super Mario 64 at high speed.
Additional novelty entries include a Balatro run attempting to achieve a score high enough to break the game. The lineup reflects the eclectic nature of the speedrunning community, blending established classics with newer or more obscure titles to test the limits of player skill and game mechanics.
The event is often compared to traditional telethons, but replaces entertainers with skilled gamers completing games as quickly as possible. Fans can view the full schedule and watch the livestreams starting July 5, supporting a cause that has consistently drawn significant financial contributions from the gaming community.
