Sullivan’s third straight goal extends Philadelphia’s unbeaten MLS run

Cavan Sullivan scored in his third consecutive match as Philadelphia Union defeated CF Montreal 2–0 on Saturday night, extending Philadelphia’s unbeaten MLS run to eight matches.
The 16-year-old added an unassisted goal in the 75th minute, his fourth of the campaign. Fox Sports and The Associated Press reported that Sullivan became the first teenager to record a goal contribution in five consecutive MLS matches.
Danley Jean Jacques opened the scoring in the 57th minute, also without assistance, as Philadelphia moved to 7-10-6 overall and 4-3-4 at home.
Montreal had an opportunity to equalise when Prince Owusu won a penalty in the 68th minute, but Philadelphia goalkeeper Andre Blake saved the kick to preserve the lead.
Blake made two saves for his fourth clean sheet of the season and 24th in 288 starts for the Union. Montreal goalkeeper Sebastian Breza made six saves as Montreal fell to 5-12-6 overall and 2-9-1 on the road.
