White Sox vs. Twins prediction, odds, time: 2026 MLB picks for Wednesday, June 3 by proven model
Computer simulation backs Over on total runs line amid pitching mismatch

SportsLine’s computer model has released its projections for the Major League Baseball contest between the Chicago White Sox and the Minnesota Twins on Wednesday, June 3, 2026. The simulation, which has recorded a 17-5 success rate across its top-rated picks in Week 11 of the season, is forecasting a high-scoring encounter at Target Field in Minneapolis.

The model projects the Over on the total runs line of 8.5, citing a trend of offensive output between the two American League Central rivals. After running 10,000 simulations, the system estimates 9.7 combined runs for the game, with the Over hitting in 58 per cent of those iterations. This aligns with recent history, as the Over has landed in five of the six meetings this season, including matches where the teams combined for 15 and 10 runs respectively.

Minnesota enters the Wednesday matinee as the -158 money-line favourite, while Chicago is listed as the +132 underdog. The Twins, currently sitting at 29-33, host the White Sox, who hold a 32-28 record. Cleveland leads the division at 35-27, adding context to the race for the Central title as these two teams conclude their three-game series.

The pitching matchup presents a stark contrast, potentially influencing the offensive projections. White Sox starter Erick Fedde, who holds a 0-5 record with a 5.40 earned run average, faces Minnesota’s Taj Bradley. Bradley has been more effective, posting a 5-1 record and a 3.21 ERA. The model notes that the Over has also trended when either of these pitchers has taken the mound.

Chicago will be without slugger Munetaka Murakami, who remains on the injured list with a hamstring injury until the end of June. Despite this absence, the model projects individual offensive contributions, including over 1.6 total bases for White Sox hitters Colson Montgomery and Andrew Benintendi. For the Twins, Byron Buxton is projected to deliver over 2.39 total bases. First pitch is scheduled for 1:40 p.m. ET.
