Ten-year-old Aashirwad Sooryavanshi has scored a century in a local practice match in Samastipur, adding another chapter to the cricketing narrative of the Sooryavanshi family. Representing Cricket Academy Tajpur, Aashirwad scored 103 runs off 87 balls, including 20 fours and a six, to help his side post a total of 234/4.
The innings, which carried a strike rate of 118.39, was marked by a fearless approach that drew comparisons to his elder brother. Aashirwad celebrated reaching the three-figure mark by removing his helmet, a gesture that garnered attention following the match. Teammate Shivam Raj contributed 52 runs in the same contest, which concluded in 29.5 overs.
The achievement was highlighted by 15-year-old Indian cricketer Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, who shared the match scorecard on his social media platform while touring Sri Lanka with India A. The younger Sooryavanshi enjoyed a standout IPL 2026 season, winning the Orange Cap with 776 runs. He was also named the tournament’s Most Valuable Player, Emerging Player of the Year, and Super Striker, while holding the record for the fastest IPL century, which he achieved off 36 balls.
