Sony Announces June PlayStation Plus Lineup Featuring Xbox’s Grounded
Sony has revealed the June PlayStation Plus Monthly Games, headlined by Grounded from Xbox-owned studio Obsidian Entertainment. Subscribers can claim the titles from June 2, while Destiny 2: Legacy Collection arrives for Extra and Premium tiers on June 9.

Sony has confirmed the June PlayStation Plus Monthly Games lineup, marking a notable shift in cross-platform content with the inclusion of Grounded. Developed by Obsidian Entertainment, an Xbox-owned studio, the survival title joins Nickelodeon All Star Brawl 2 and Warhammer 40,000: Darktide in the monthly offering. These three games become available for PS Plus members to claim starting on June 2, with access retained for as long as the subscription remains active.
Grounded, which left early access on Xbox and PC in late 2022, arrived on PlayStation platforms in April 2024 following Microsoft’s decision to loosen its grip on first-party exclusivity. The move comes as the Xbox division’s new leadership team is reported to be reassessing its exclusivity strategy. Alongside the survival title, the June lineup features Nickelodeon All Star Brawl 2, a platform fighting game featuring a roster of Nickelodeon characters, and Warhammer 40,000: Darktide, a first-person shooter described as a spiritual successor to the Warhammer: Vermintide series.
In addition to the monthly titles, Destiny 2: Legacy Collection will join the PS Plus Game Catalog for Extra and Premium subscribers on June 9. This timing coincides with Bungie’s release of the final update for the long-running shooter as it winds down active development. The collection includes all expansions up to 2024’s The Final Shape, which concluded the main storyline, but excludes the two most recent expansions released last year, The Edge of Fate and Renegades.
Sony has also extended the availability of EA Sports FC 26, the final monthly title from May, until June 16. This extension allows players to claim the game ahead of a June 4 update that introduces an international tournament mode featuring 48 national teams. The timing suggests an effort to capitalise on upcoming FIFA-branded international soccer events.
The announcement coincides with the start of Sony’s Days of Play sale, running from May 27 to June 10. The promotion offers discounts on games including Ghost of Yōtei, Helldivers 2, Death Stranding 2, and The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered, as well as a $100 reduction on the PlayStation VR2 headset. However, console hardware is excluded from the sale following a recent price hike, while discounts remain available on PS Plus memberships for new subscribers and those upgrading tiers.
