Sony adds Red Dead Redemption 2 and Star Wars Outlaws to PlayStation Plus catalog
Subscribers to Extra and Premium tiers gain access to major titles on 19 May, while Premium members receive a retro classic with modern motion controls.

Sony has confirmed that Red Dead Redemption 2 and Star Wars Outlaws will join the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog on 19 May. The titles are available to subscribers of the Extra and Premium tiers, providing access to significant third-party and first-party content as the company looks to retain user engagement ahead of the next major industry cycle.
Red Dead Redemption 2, originally released in 2018, returns to the service in its PS4 version. This decision comes despite years of speculation regarding a current-generation performance patch that has not yet materialised. The inclusion covers both the single-player campaign featuring protagonist Arthur Morgan and the Red Dead Online multiplayer component, maintaining the title’s presence in the subscription ecosystem alongside competing services.
Ubisoft’s Star Wars Outlaws, launched in 2024, is also arriving on the platform. As the first open-world game set in the Star Wars universe, it allows players to control the character Kay Vess. The title has undergone post-launch patches that have altered gameplay mechanics, specifically rendering certain stealth sections optional, which may influence its reception among new subscribers.
Beyond these headline additions, the 19 May update expands the catalog with several other titles. These include Bramble: The Mountain King and Broken Sword – Shadows of the Templar: Reforged for both PS5 and PS4, alongside The Thaumaturge, Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn, and Enotria: The Last Standard Edition for PS5.
Premium subscribers will additionally receive the 1997 arcade shooter Time Crisis in the Premium-only classics catalog. The retro title features gyro aiming support on PS4 and PS5, enabling motion-controlled light gun gameplay that mirrors the original arcade experience.
