Shores double lifts Angel City above NWSL playoff line
Evelyn Shores scored in the 69th minute and stoppage time as Angel City beat Racing Louisville 2-0 at Lynn Family Stadium.

Angel City secured its second consecutive National Women’s Soccer League victory with a 2-0 win over Racing Louisville at Lynn Family Stadium, moving above the playoff line.
The match was scoreless at half-time before Evelyn Shores opened the scoring in the 69th minute. Ally Sentnor’s pass found the defender, who struck from distance into the far corner.
Shores added her second goal in stoppage time to complete the win, giving Angel City a result that strengthens its position in the playoff race.
The victory followed Angel City’s 5-2 win over Boston Legacy, which ended a six-match winless run. Its listed record is now 9-8-5.
The defeat came as Racing Louisville returned home after two straight away losses. Racing, listed at 7-14-2, had won its previous four meetings with Angel City. The result was reported by the Associated Press and Yahoo Sports.
