The US Securities and Exchange Commission and financial regulators in the United States and abroad have issued a joint investor bulletin urging resilience as economic conditions change and vigilance against relationship investment and impersonation scams.

The bulletin was released for World Investor Week, an initiative of the International Organization of Securities Commissions that brings regulators across six continents together to promote investor education and protection. The initiative marks its tenth anniversary this year.

The SEC coordinated the US effort with the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, Securities Investor Protection Corporation, National Futures Association and North American Securities Administrators Association.

The SEC directed investors to Investor.gov for education, financial planning tools and resources on preventing scams.
