Seahawks reveal Super Bowl LX rings, which feature pieces of a football and moving parts
Private ceremony marks distribution of complex jewellery to players and staff

The Seattle Seahawks distributed Super Bowl LX championship rings to players, coaches, and staff during a private ceremony on Thursday. The team also released details of the jewellery, engineered by Jason of Beverly Hills, which continues a broader trend in professional sports where championship rings have become increasingly complex in design and function.

The rings feature a diamond-encrusted replica of Lumen Field’s arches and 50 white diamonds set around the centre logo to honour the club’s 50th season. An authentic piece of game-used football is embedded within the ring, while a fully removable topper allows the piece to be worn as a pendant on a chain.

A distinct mechanical element is included in the design: a button mechanism causes the Lumen Field arches to pop outward, revealing the inscription “WORLD CHAMPIONS”. This level of engineering mirrors recent releases from other leagues, such as the Las Vegas Aces and Los Angeles Dodgers, who have introduced rings with features like nested rings and embedded infield dirt.

The Seahawks secured their Super Bowl LX victory with a 29-13 win over the New England Patriots. The triumph marks the club’s first championship under head coach Mike Macdonald and their first with starting quarterback Sam Darnold, achieved in Macdonald’s second season with the team.

With the next NFL season only a couple of months away, the Seahawks are tied for the third-best odds for a repeat Super Bowl championship at +1100. They trail only the Los Angeles Rams at +500 and the Buffalo Bills at +1000 in the current betting markets.
