São Bernardo go top of Série B
Fourth consecutive victory moves São Bernardo-SP ahead of Sport on wins

São Bernardo-SP has ascended to the top of the Brasileirão Série B standings following a 3-1 victory over Londrina-PR on Monday, 12 May. The result, secured at the Vitorino Gonçalves Dias Stadium in Londrina, concludes the eighth round of the competition and marks a significant shift in the league’s hierarchy.

Goals from Dudu Miraíma, who scored twice, and Daniel Amorim secured the three points for the visitors from São Paulo. The home side’s solitary response came from an own goal by Hélder, a moment that proved decisive in the final tally.

The victory extends São Bernardo’s winning streak to four matches, bringing their total to 16 points. They now lead the table ahead of second-placed Sport, who share the same point total but trail on the basis of having secured fewer victories. São Bernardo has won five matches, compared to Sport’s four.

For Londrina-PR, the result deepens a difficult period in the season. The club remains in 19th place with just five points, having failed to win in seven consecutive matches. The term "Tubarão" is frequently associated with the club’s current form as they seek to recover in the standings.

The ninth round of the Série B competition is scheduled to commence on Saturday, 16 May, as São Bernardo looks to maintain its position at the summit and Londrina attempts to halt its winless run.
