Oregon may turn to Dylan Raiola for its game against UCLA on Saturday as quarterback Dante Moore continues recovering from a concussion. CBS Sports, citing sources, reports Moore is unlikely to play, though the team has not confirmed his availability.

Moore returned to practice this week wearing a helmet and shoulder pads. Coach Dan Lanning said Oregon would take a gradual approach and do what was best for the quarterback. The team’s first availability report of the week was due Wednesday night.

Moore was injured by a hit to the head against USC on 26 September and was stretchered off the field. His return to practice does not establish that he has been cleared to play.

Raiola, who transferred from Nebraska in the off-season, is expected to make his first start for the Ducks. He threw for 289 yards and two touchdowns after coming on in relief of Moore against USC.

Lanning said Raiola should continue preparing as he has been, and praised his accuracy and decision-making in practice and against USC. Oregon has not formally confirmed who will start against UCLA.
