Amazon’s Prime Day 2026, which commenced on 24 June 2026, has launched with significant discounts across a broad spectrum of Wi-Fi routers and mesh systems. The event targets consumers looking to upgrade their home networks to mitigate common connectivity issues such as buffering and lag. Featured deals include devices supporting Wi-Fi 7 and Wi-Fi 6E standards, with prices reduced to address the growing demand for reliable, high-speed internet infrastructure.
WIRED has updated its coverage of these deals, identifying the Netgear Orbi 770 Series as a standout option for those seeking to upgrade to Wi-Fi 7. Described as the best price ever seen for the system, this tri-band mesh network offers expansive coverage and stable connectivity. The system features internal antennas and a tower design that integrates easily into home environments, providing a simple setup process for users requiring robust whole-home coverage.
For buyers seeking a more budget-conscious option, the TP-Link Deco BE63 is highlighted as a powerful tri-band Wi-Fi 7 mesh system that performs nearly as well as the Orbi 770. While the 6-GHz band on the Deco BE63 has a shorter range, the system remains a cost-effective alternative. It includes four 2.5-Gbps auto-sensing Ethernet ports and a USB 3.0 port. TP-Link has noted that while it has not yet secured an exemption from the FCC's foreign-made router ban, the restriction applies only to new systems, not existing inventory.
Other notable deals include the Eero Pro 7, an elegant mesh system available in packs of two or three, and the Eero Pro 6E, an older Wi-Fi 6E model. The Eero Pro 7 supports Wi-Fi 7 across all bands and features USB-C power ports alongside 5 Gbps Ethernet connections. The Eero Pro 6E, however, requires an Eero Plus subscription, costing $10 per month or $100 per year, to unlock advanced features such as parental controls, ad blocking, and enhanced security.
For outdoor connectivity, the TP-Link Deco BE25 Outdoor offers an IP65-rated, waterproof and dustproof solution capable of covering up to 2,800 square feet. It can be added to existing TP-Link Deco networks to extend Wi-Fi into backyards. Additionally, the Asus RT-BE58 Go travel router, WIRED’s favourite for its Wi-Fi 7 capabilities, allows users to connect multiple devices to public or hotel Wi-Fi via Ethernet, public Wi-Fi, or USB tethering. A budget Wi-Fi 7 router with six adjustable antennas was also reviewed, offering excellent close-range speeds on the 6-GHz band, though it showed weaker performance on the 5-GHz and 2.4-GHz bands.
