Pittsburg beat Carl Junction 4-2 in boys’ soccer, recovering after Mason Cowger put the Bulldogs ahead with a shot from outside the 18-yard box.

Luke Moss scored Pittsburg’s equaliser and then gave the Purple Dragons a 2-1 lead before half-time. The report did not identify Pittsburg’s other scorers or describe how the remaining goals were scored.

The Yahoo Sports report said Pittsburg tightened its defence and held possession after conceding. It listed the team at 5-2-1 and first in its district at publication.

Carl Junction was listed at 3-7. Pittsburg was scheduled to play away at Independence on 29 September, while Carl Junction’s next opponent was Hillcrest; no date was given for that fixture.
