Council Rock South and Neshaminy secure decisive victories as Plymouth Township prepares for next round

The 2026 PIAA District One baseball playoffs have progressed through the first and second rounds, with results determining the teams advancing to the semifinals at Plymouth Township. The second round featured decisive victories for Neshaminy, Pennsbury, and Council Rock South, while weather-related delays and suspensions impacted several other fixtures.

Neshaminy secured an 11-1 victory over Souderton in five innings, with senior Chase Bonner closing out the win with a solo home run. Bonner recorded three hits and two RBIs while pitching five innings, allowing five hits and striking out five. Senior Noah Wallace contributed a double and two RBIs, while Matt Gryn added two hits and an RBI. Souderton’s Evan Divens recorded two hits and an RBI for the Big Red.

Pennsbury defeated Wissahickon 13-4, led by senior Carlton Crane, who went 4 for 5 with three doubles. Senior ace Keller Bradley earned the win, striking out 12 batters in 5⅔ innings. The Falcons, who secured their second straight SOL Patriot division title, advanced with a strong offensive and pitching performance.

Council Rock South defeated Methacton 7-0, propelled by a complete game no-hitter from senior pitcher Reed Curtier. Curtier struck out 14 batters and walked two, while senior Jack Reynolds led the offense with two doubles and two RBIs. Logan Kolimaga also recorded two hits for the Golden Hawks.

Several second-round games were affected by weather delays or suspensions. Garnet Valley defeated Spring-Ford 4-2 in six innings following a weather delay, while Pennridge edged Downingtown East 2-1 in three innings, also impacted by weather. The match between Plymouth Whitemarsh and Owen J. Roberts was delayed, and the game between Springfield-Delco and Upper Moreland was suspended.

Concurrently, the PAISAA Tournament saw results, with Holy Ghost Prep, Faith Christian, Dock Mennonite, and Germantown Academy advancing or completing their matches. Holy Ghost Prep defeated Springfield-Montco 8-1, while Faith Christian beat Calvary Christian 11-1. Dock Mennonite rolled past Church Farm 15-1, and Germantown Academy defeated Perkiomen School 7-2.

Semifinal matchups are set for Plymouth Township, with times to be confirmed for some games. The bracket includes winners from District One and other regional tournaments, setting the stage for the next phase of the state championship race.
