Phillies level series as White Sox advance to ALDS

Alec Bohm’s 10th-inning home run secured Philadelphia’s 4–3 win over Atlanta, while Chicago beat Houston 7–4 to reach its first postseason series win since 2005.

Philadelphia beat Atlanta 4–3 in 10 innings in Game 2 of their best-of-three National League Wild Card Series, tying it at one game apiece and forcing a deciding game.

Alec Bohm hit the go-ahead home run with two outs in the 10th. The Phillies had trailed 3–1 before Kyle Schwarber and Bryce Harper homered in the eighth to level the score.

Atlanta’s bullpen surrendered three runs on five hits across three innings after starter Tyler Mahle left with a 3–1 lead. The result leaves the teams to settle the series in Game 3.

Chicago beat Houston 7–4 to win its Wild Card Series and advance to face Cleveland in the American League Division Series. It is the White Sox’s first postseason series victory since their 2005 World Series run.

Kyle Teel and Chase Meidroth, both acquired in the Garrett Crochet trade, drove in four of Chicago’s seven runs. Meidroth hit a three-run home run in the sixth inning.
