Patriots to hold 2 sets of joint practices this summer
Head coach Mike Vrabel announces schedule for August practices at Gillette Stadium

The New England Patriots have confirmed their schedule for joint training camp practices in Foxborough this August, hosted at Gillette Stadium. Head coach Mike Vrabel announced that the Indianapolis Colts will visit for a single-day session on 11 August, followed by the Philadelphia Eagles for a two-day block on 19 and 20 August. These sessions serve as preparation for the Patriots' second preseason game against the Eagles on 22 August.

The Eagles' visit is notable for featuring wide receiver A.J. Brown, who was recently traded to New England and passed his physical, facing his former team. Brown passed his physical on Tuesday and took the practice fields for his first session with his new club. The single-day session with the Colts will feature Patriots cornerback Christian Gonzalez facing Eagles cornerback Sauce Gardner.

Vrabel described the Colts as having an "excellent offensive coach" in Shane Steichen and a "very good offensive line," while praising the Eagles as an "accomplished football team that’s used to winning." He noted that the Colts represent a "very good offensive football team" with versatility on defence, making the 11 August session an important test for the Patriots.

The Colts' visit on 11 August precedes their preseason game against the Patriots at Gillette Stadium on 13 August. Joint practices are traditionally open to the general public, and the Patriots participated in similar joint sessions during the previous year's training camp. The Patriots' full training camp schedule will be announced in the coming weeks.
