Paramount weighs Nashville and Austin for future headquarters

Paramount chief executive David Ellison is considering Nashville and Austin as possible future headquarters for the media company, as it weighs moving away from Hollywood, according to reporting published by Yahoo Finance.
Paramount is reportedly seeking about 400,000 square feet of office space that it could occupy within two or three years. Nashville currently has no suitable vacancy, according to the report, raising the possibility of a built-to-suit development.
Austin is also under consideration, with the Bluebonnet Business Center reportedly among the sites being examined. The city has film-production facilities including Austin Studios and Troublemaker Studios, while Nashville has a stronger music-industry base.
The headquarters search comes as Paramount pursues a proposed merger with Warner Bros. Discovery, reported at about US$111 billion. The relocation discussions are based on anonymous-source reporting, and Paramount has not confirmed that it will leave Hollywood or selected either city.
The possible moves echo decisions involving Ellison’s father, Larry Ellison. Oracle moved its headquarters from California to Austin in 2020, while plans for a new Nashville campus are expected to be completed in 2031. It remains unclear whether Paramount’s Nashville or Austin discussions will result in a relocation.
