Oklahoma’s 41–13 loss to Georgia has prompted the coaching staff to consider its quarterback options. Coach Brent Venables said the possibility of a change was discussed, but announced no decision or replacement.
CBS Sports reported that John Mateer passed for 231 yards and two touchdowns, with one interception. His performance also included costly fumbles and an interception as Oklahoma fell behind Georgia.
The rushing game offered little support: Oklahoma gained 65 yards on the ground. The team had averaged 110.3 rushing yards per game entering the matchup, a figure that ranked 15th in the SEC, according to CBS Sports.
