Nvidia Takes 9.3% Stake in AI Cloud Provider Nebius
The investment deepens a strategic partnership announced in March, as Nebius secures multibillion-dollar infrastructure deals with Microsoft and Meta Platforms.

Shares of Nebius Group surged on Tuesday after Nvidia disclosed a significant equity position in the artificial intelligence cloud infrastructure specialist. The investment, valued at approximately $5 billion, represents a 9.3% stake in the company, acquired through the purchase of common stock and prefunded warrants.
In a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, Nvidia confirmed it holds 22,256,412 shares of Nebius. The transaction formalises a strategic partnership the two companies announced in March, which aims to deploy high-performance cloud computing infrastructure designed for artificial intelligence workloads.
Nvidia chief executive Jensen Huang described Nebius as building an AI cloud tailored for the "agentic era." He noted that the infrastructure is fully integrated from silicon to software and powered by Nvidia’s next-generation accelerated compute, allowing the partners to scale the cloud to meet surging global demand for intelligence.
Beyond its relationship with Nvidia, Nebius has secured multibillion-dollar infrastructure deals with major technology firms including Microsoft and Meta Platforms. The company has already contracted revenue exceeding $40 billion from its customers, a figure that industry observers project will grow significantly as the artificial intelligence sector expands.
The disclosure comes as market participants weigh the implications of Nvidia’s deepening ties with cloud infrastructure providers. While the investment underscores confidence in Nebius’s technical capabilities and customer base, the company remains a relatively new entrant compared to established hyperscalers, despite its rapid accumulation of contracted revenue.
