Nvidia enters consumer laptop market with RTX Spark superchip
The new flagship chip features 20 CPU cores and 128GB of memory, with partners promising all-day battery life and 14mm profiles.

Nvidia has officially entered the consumer laptop market with its new Arm-based RTX Spark superchip, marking a significant shift in the personal computing landscape. The company unveiled the flagship variant at Computex 2026, which features 20 CPU cores, 6,144 GPU cores, and 128GB of LPDDR5X memory. This configuration mirrors the GB10 chip found in Nvidia’s DGX Spark personal AI supercomputer, positioning the hardware for high-performance tasks.
Several major technology firms are preparing to launch RTX Spark-powered laptops this autumn. Microsoft, Asus, HP, MSI, Lenovo, and Dell have all confirmed upcoming models, with Acer and Gigabyte also expected to join the ecosystem. While specific pricing and detailed specifications for many devices remain undisclosed, Nvidia has stated that all RTX Spark laptops will feature all-day battery life and a slim profile of 14mm.
Microsoft’s upcoming Surface Laptop Ultra will showcase a 15-inch mini-LED touchscreen with 2,000 nits of peak HDR brightness. The company describes this as the brightest display it has ever shipped, offering 262 pixels per inch and high-precision colour accuracy. The device will also include a large haptic touchpad and a comprehensive array of ports, including HDMI, USB-C, USB-A, an SD card slot, and a headphone jack.
Asus is targeting creative professionals with its ProArt P16 and ProArt P14 models. These devices will feature colour-optimised high-resolution displays and increased RAM to support demanding applications. Notably, Asus is replacing the physical dialpad wheel found on current-generation models with haptic touchpad features. MSI is also entering the space with the Prestige N16 Flip AI Plus, a 2-in-1 flip-form factor device that supports the MSI Nano Pen, a stylus designed with Microsoft that doubles as an AI microphone for Copilot.
Dell, HP, and Lenovo will also release new models, including the Dell XPS 16, Lenovo Yoga Pro 9n, and HP’s OmniBook X 14 and Ultra 16. While HP has indicated it will share further information closer to availability, the broader industry consensus suggests that detailed specifications and pricing will be revealed as the autumn launch window approaches.
