Nvidia and Anthropic CEOs offer differing views on the pace of AI development

Nvidia chief executive Jensen Huang has rejected the idea that artificial-intelligence development must be framed as a choice between speed and restraint.
Speaking at the Dreamforce event, Huang said the choice between moving fast and pacing AI development was a “false choice”, according to CNBC.
His comments came days after Anthropic chief executive Dario Amodei published an essay urging the AI industry to slow the pace of model development.
The executives lead companies with different positions in the AI ecosystem. Nvidia supplies chips and infrastructure used to develop AI models, while Anthropic is an AI company focused in part on model safety.
