NordVPN slashes prices by 77% in June 2026 promotional push
WIRED reports that NordVPN is offering up to 77% off subscription plans in June 2026, alongside additional perks for students and specific professional groups.

NordVPN has launched a significant promotional campaign for June 2026, offering discounts of up to 77% on its subscription plans. According to a report by WIRED, the cybersecurity provider is incentivising long-term commitments, with the deepest discounts applying to two-year plans. The promotion also includes an Amazon gift card valued at up to $50 for customers who purchase two-year Prime, Plus, or Complete plans.
The gift card incentive requires customers to remain subscribed for 31 days after purchase. Once this condition is met, the card is mailed within 31 to 50 days of the original transaction. NordVPN has identified the two-year Plus plan as its most popular option, while the Prime plan offers the maximum 77% discount and includes three free months for select two-year subscriptions.
Pricing structures vary significantly based on the length of the commitment. One-month plans start at $13, while one-year plans range from $5 to $10. Two-year plans are the most cost-effective, starting at $3 and rising to $7 for top-tier packages that include additional features such as ad tracking blocking and 1 TB of cloud storage. Customers are advised that purchasing directly through the NordVPN website ensures the lowest price and full access to promotional perks.
Beyond the general discount, NordVPN is offering an additional 15% off for verified students, graduates, teachers, healthcare workers, military personnel, and first responders. This discount is administered through Student Beans. A referral programme also allows existing users to earn three free months for every friend who signs up for a one- or two-year plan via their unique link.
The service includes a 30-day money-back guarantee for personal plans and a 14-day guarantee for NordVPN Business. For users testing the platform, NordVPN provides a 30-day free trial for most devices and a three-day trial for Android users. The VPN service encrypts internet connections to protect data on public hotspots, though WIRED notes that users must trust the provider as VPNs are not a perfect security solution. Key features include NordProtect for identity and credit monitoring, and Meshnet, which allows users to connect devices securely as if on a local area network.
