The NFL has rescinded a $29,852 fine against San Francisco 49ers fullback Kyle Juszczyk after an appeals officer ruled in his favour, the league said on Wednesday.

The fine covered two celebrations after catches in the third quarter of San Francisco’s Week 2 win over the Miami Dolphins. The NFL said the gestures appeared to imitate chugging beer and could be considered offensive and in poor taste.

Juszczyk said he was miming drinking juice, a reference to his nickname. He has performed the celebration for years in response to fans chanting “Juice!” after catches or other big plays.

The NFL has said it intends to crack down on celebrations this season. It did not provide the appeals officer’s reasoning for overturning the fine.
