Almost 50,000 fans join Newcastle United Season Ticket Waiting List
Fan Advisory Board and club officials implement structured access system to manage global demand

Newcastle United has recorded almost 50,000 signups for its Season Ticket Waiting List since the initiative was introduced earlier this summer. The programme, developed collaboratively by the Fan Advisory Board and club officials, was established to provide a transparent mechanism for ticket allocation amid what the club describes as unprecedented global demand.

Chief Operating Officer Brad Miller stated that the club had been overwhelmed by the volume of interest, citing the figures as evidence of the organisation’s size and potential. Miller emphasised that the structured waiting list was necessary to ensure fair access for supporters, noting that the overwhelming response highlighted the need for a formalised system to replace previous allocation methods.

Approximately 250 fans will be notified this week of successful applications for the upcoming season. Those who are not selected for immediate allocation but remain Mags Members will be placed on a tiered list to gain access to future season tickets, with the specific criteria for this tiering determined by membership status.

Fan Advisory Board Chairman Michael McCarthy described the reaction from supporter groups and individuals as brilliant, confirming that the club would continue to listen to fan ideas regarding the waiting list and overall ticketing processes. He congratulated those who secured tickets for the next season and acknowledged the role of the Fan Advisory Board in driving the initiative.

Mags Members can continue to join the waiting list via the club’s booking website from Wednesday, 10 June. The club has not yet specified the timeline for when the tiered list will be processed or when future tickets will be offered to those remaining on the queue.
