Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua is expected to play against the San Francisco 49ers in the team’s Week 1 season opener in Australia, coach Sean McVay says.
Nacua has been managing psoas soreness sustained during an August joint practice with the Dallas Cowboys. The Rams subsequently managed his workload cautiously through the remainder of training camp.
McVay said Nacua had progressed through high-speed running work with the team’s sports medicine staff and that he had heard nothing to suggest the receiver would not play.
