Microsoft expands Xbox Game Pass library with Forza Horizon 6 and Remnant II
Forza Horizon 6 is now available for Ultimate and PC subscribers, while Remnant II and Luna Abyss follow later this month.
Microsoft has announced a fresh slate of titles arriving on Xbox Game Pass throughout late May, reinforcing its subscription library with significant releases and tier-specific adjustments. The most prominent addition is Forza Horizon 6, which is available immediately for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers. Described as the latest entry in the long-running driving franchise, the game is set in Japan and has received positive critical reception.
Microsoft has positioned Forza Horizon 6 as a key title for the service, noting that it serves as the current "killer app" following the decision to no longer include Call of Duty games as day-one releases. The driving simulation title is noted for its visual presentation and immediate availability to subscribers holding the higher-tier Ultimate and PC Game Pass memberships.
Following the immediate release of the racing title, Remnant II is scheduled to arrive on 20 May for Ultimate, Premium, and PC Game Pass subscribers. The third-person shooter is characterised as a "Soulslike with guns," featuring challenging combat against tough enemies and bosses. The game supports three-player co-op, allowing subscribers to tackle its difficult content together.
On 21 May, Luna Abyss will join the service as a day-one release for Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers. This first-person narrative adventure tasks players with exploring a mysterious structure buried deep within the lunar surface. The title adds a distinct sci-fi element to the platform's offerings for the remainder of the month.
Additional titles are set to join the service later in May, including Escape Simulator on 26 May and the deckbuilder Echo Generation 2 on 27 May. Microsoft is also adjusting tier availability for several games, with Dead Static Drive, Pigeon Simulator, and Winter Burrow moving to the Premium tier. These titles were previously exclusive to the higher-tier Ultimate subscription, marking a shift in access for subscribers across different plan levels.
