Meta unveils roadmap for accessible AI agents targeting personal and business sectors
CEO Mark Zuckerberg confirms development of personal and business agents during earnings call, citing usability improvements over current market offerings

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg confirmed during the company's first-quarter earnings call that the firm is actively developing new AI agents designed for both personal and business applications. These tools are intended to be significantly more accessible and user-friendly than current market offerings, with a specific strategic goal of being simple enough for non-technical users to operate.
The new agents will be built upon the Muse Spark model, which represents the first release from Meta Superintelligence Labs. Zuckerberg outlined two distinct directions for this development: a personal agent designed to help individuals achieve diverse life goals, and a business agent aimed at assisting entrepreneurs and companies in expanding their reach and serving customers more effectively.
Zuckerberg noted that the current trajectory of Meta AI is shifting from a simple assistant to an autonomous agent capable of understanding goals and working independently to achieve them. He stated that the objective is not merely to deliver Meta AI as a helper, but to create agents that can understand user objectives and work day and night to help them achieve those outcomes.
In addressing the usability of these new tools, Zuckerberg compared them to existing products like OpenClaw. While acknowledging that OpenClaw offers an exciting glimpse of potential, he described the current setup process as "pretty rough." He emphasised that Meta aims to create a version of this experience that is polished, dialed in, and easy to use, noting that there are currently very few agents he would want to give to his mother.
The CEO also mentioned that he is overseeing the development of an AI clone of himself, though specific technical details regarding its function or integration with the broader agent system remain unconfirmed. No specific release timeline was provided for these new products, leaving the exact timing of their arrival to the market uncertain.
Meta's Superintelligence Labs is positioning these developments as a critical evolution in how the platform interacts with users, moving beyond basic assistance to autonomous execution of tasks across both personal and commercial landscapes.
