Facebook’s Creator Studio has been revived as an AI companion app
Facebook page management tool returns after 2023 shutdown, now featuring automated engagement tools

Meta has relaunched its Facebook Creator Studio page management tool, repositioning the platform as a standalone artificial intelligence companion app. The move marks a significant shift from the company’s 2023 decision to discontinue the original standalone experience and direct users toward its broader Business Suite for page management and content scheduling.

According to an announcement detailed by The Verge, the newly reimagined application is designed to assist creators in connecting with their audiences. Meta states that the platform aims to show users “exactly what to do next to succeed on Facebook,” a claim that positions the tool as a strategic guide for growth rather than merely a utility for page administration.

At the core of the relaunch is the AI Creator Assistant, a chatbot feature that provides performance tracking insights and tailored recommendations for improving engagement. The assistant is also capable of identifying “the most important comments” from an audience and instantly drafting replies in the user’s voice, automating a key aspect of community management.

The service is currently in a testing phase, with TechCrunch reporting that Meta is rolling out the app to “select creators.” While the company has not specified the criteria for this selection or provided a timeline for a general public rollout, Facebook creators can currently join a waitlist to secure early access to the new features.

This relaunch represents a strategic pivot for Meta’s creator tools, moving away from the consolidated Business Suite model that replaced Creator Studio three years ago. By introducing a dedicated AI companion, the company is signalling a renewed focus on providing specialised, automated support for content creators navigating the platform’s evolving ecosystem.
