Messi reaches 100 Inter Miami goals as club claims first Campeones Cup
Lionel Messi scored his 100th goal for Inter Miami in a 2–0 final win over Cruz Azul, with Casemiro adding the second.

Inter Miami secured their first Campeones Cup title with a 2–0 victory over Cruz Azul on Wednesday night, as Lionel Messi reached a major scoring milestone for the club.
Messi opened the scoring in the 24th minute, heading in a cross from Luis Suárez. The goal was his 100th for Inter Miami in 115 appearances across all competitions, according to Fox Sports and The Associated Press.
The milestone came against Cruz Azul, the same club Messi faced when he scored his first Inter Miami goal. That goal was a stoppage-time free kick in a 2–1 victory on his Miami debut in July 2023.
Casemiro added Inter Miami’s second in the 81st minute, heading in a corner delivered by Messi. The Brazilian midfielder has scored four goals, all headers, in his last five matches, Fox Sports and The Associated Press reported.
The Campeones Cup victory adds to Inter Miami’s recent trophy record. According to Fox Sports and The Associated Press, the club won the Leagues Cup in 2023, the Supporters’ Shield in 2024 and MLS Cup in 2025.
