Mavericks Offer 32-Year Ticket Package for Rare Flagg Card Found in Rhode Island
The Dallas Mavericks have proposed a comprehensive package of season tickets and experiences in exchange for a one-of-one Cooper Flagg card discovered by a Rhode Island retailer.
A unique one-of-one numbered rookie debut patch autograph card featuring NBA prospect Cooper Flagg was discovered on Monday night in Rhode Island, prompting an immediate and high-value response from the Dallas Mavericks. The card, which was pulled during a live stream by RhodyBreakers, a division of the Baseball Cards of Rhode Island retail shop, has drawn significant attention from both collectors and professional franchises.
The card, which bears Flagg’s signature from Fanatics Fest last month, is part of the 2026 Topps Chrome Update Basketball set released last week. It features a jersey patch sourced from the first half of Flagg’s NBA debut. The jersey from which the patch was taken previously sold for $1 million in February, establishing a high baseline for the commercial value of Flagg’s debut memorabilia.
In response to the discovery, the Dallas Mavericks have offered a substantial package in exchange for the card. The proposal includes two premium season ticket packages for 32 years, a signed game-worn rookie jersey, a postgame photo with Flagg, a private photo shoot with the Rookie of the Year trophy, and an expenses-paid road trip with the team.
Market speculation suggests the card could command a significant price if sold at auction. A similar exclusive card featuring Pittsburgh Pirates pitcher Paul Skenes sold for $1.11 million last year. This stands in contrast to the current highest price paid for any Flagg card, which was $366,000 in a March auction.
The 2026 Topps Chrome Update Basketball set also features cards from other Class of 2025 players, including Kon Knueppel and Dylan Harper. It remains unclear whether the owner of the Flagg card has accepted the Mavericks' offer or if the item will proceed to a public auction.
